Yrs 11 & 12 – Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Course

Excursion Information

A selected group of Year 12 & Yr 11 students  will be participating in the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Course on Tuesday 26 August 2025.

•  The course is for students looking for work in any establishment that sells or serves alcohol in NSW, it is a

government requirement  to have completed a Liquor and Gaming NSW approved RSA course (Responsible Service of Alcohol Course).

The course will include information about:

• Legal requirements related to venues, minors and signage

• Assisting customers to drink within the appropriate limits

• How to assess alcohol affected customers and identify those whose service should be refused

• When to refuse service of alcohol

Once a competent mark is awarded, learners will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for SITHFAB002 Provide responsible service of alcohol. This Unit of Competency is Nationally Recognised Training from Health Training Package.

Students must be at least 16 years of age prior to commencing the course and can use the license 18 years of age. 

Theory training in the classroom

• Practical training in the classroom

• Assessment for both knowledge and skills

 •   The cost of the excursion is $95 per student which is to be paid to the administration office by Tuesday 12  August.

•   Year 12 & Yr 11 will be participating in the course at  Gymea Technology High School on Tuesday 26 August  at 8:30 AM and will finish approximately at 3:00 PM on Tuesday 26 August.

•   Accompanying staff are: V.Hristodoulou

•   School Uniform is to be worn to this excursion.
