Excursion Information
• Year 7 will be going on an excursion to Minnamurra Rainforest on Friday 5 September 2025.
• Year 7 are learning about landscapes and landforms in Geography. This excursion will form the mandatory fieldwork component of the Stage 4 Geography course. The excursion will cover the following key inquiry questions:
– What landforms and landscapes are found at Minnamurra Rainforest?
– What environmental and human processes form and transform landscapes and landforms at Minnamurra Rainforest?
– Why do people value the landscapes of Minnamurra Rainforest?
• The cost of the excursion is $44 per student which is to be paid to the administration office by Friday 22 August.
• Year 7 will meet at 7.45am to depart at 8:00am from Gymea Technology High School on Friday 5 September and return to Gymea Technology High School at approximately 3:00 PM.
• Travel will be by Bus.
• Accompanying staff are: O.Corry, M.Shillam, Z.Chidzey, M.Polianitis, G.Amerikanos, S.Blackburn
• Sport Uniform is to be worn to this excursion.
• Students are to bring their own recess, lunch and a water bottle as there will be no opportunity to purchase lunch at the rainforest.
• Students will also be required to bring a pen, pencil and a clipboard.
