Excursion Information
• Year 12 will be going on an excursion to Sydney University on Thursday 5 June 2025 for a HSC History Study Day.
• This excursion has been planned to supplement the work being done in the classroom. The lectures are presented by experienced teachers and markers of the HSC, and therefore will provide invaluable assistance to students preparing for HSC History.
• The cost of the excursion is $50 per student which is to be paid to the administration office by Thursday 12th May.
• Year 12 will depart from Gymea Technology High School on Thursday 5 June at Gymea Train Station at 7:45am and depart from Gymea Station at the conclusion of the excursion. Students will need to bring a signed early leavers note if they would like to depart prior to Gymea Station.
• The students in History Extension will be staying at the venue for an afternoon session with their mentors, scheduled to finish at Sydney Uni at 4:30pm. History Extension students will arrive back at Gymea Station at approximately 5:30pm. Students will need to bring a signed early leavers note if they would like to depart prior to Gymea Station.
• Students will have an opportunity to buy lunch but should bring snacks and a drink for the day. Students should also bring their laptop and note taking materials.
• Travel will be by Train and Walking. Students will need have a topped up Opal Card to travel on the train to and from Sydney University.
