Sutherland Zone Cross Country Carnival

Excursion Information

•   The GTHS School Cross Country Team will be going on an excursion to the Sutherland Zone Cross Country Carnival at Heathcote High School & Royal National Park on Friday 16 May 2025. Note: the back up venue is Miranda Park, The Boulevarde, Miranda NSW 2228 (it will be communicated to students if this back up venue needs to be used).

•   This excursion has been planned to provide students with the opportunity to represent GTHS and try to qualify for the Sutherland Zone Team to run at the Sydney East Carnival.

•   Travel will be by Train or own transport.

•   The School Cross Country Team will depart from Gymea Technology High School on Friday 16 May at 8:00 AM (arrive at school by 7:45am) and return to Gymea Technology High School by 3:00 PM on Friday 16 May. Students who are making their own way to the venue need to indicated this on the permision slip and arrive at Heathcote High School by 8:45am.

•   If you wish to allow your child to leave early  (after they finish their event), a signed note must be provided to the teacher on the day of the carnival.

•   Cost of this activity will be $6 per student (Zone fee). Students travelling by train need to bring an opal card with sufficient funds.

•   Accompanying staff are: N.Breen, J.Wilson, C.Williams, R.Ellis

•   Sport Uniform is to be worn to this excursion. Students will be provided with a GTHS singlet to run in upon arrival at the venue. Students must ensure they get their name marked off with the teacher upon arrival at the venue AND before departing.
