Excursion Information
• Year 10 will be going on an excursion to Gymea North Public School on Thursday 3 April and Tuesday 8th April 2025.
• This excursion has been planned to supplement the following work being done in the classroom: Child Studies class are currently studying a unit about play. This unit involves understanding how play fosters child development.
This assessment students will attend Gymea North PS to observe how children engage in different types of play. This will help them complete an evaluation of the importance of play in child development.
In the second part of this assignment students will take and teach 1-2 kindergarten classes. In this time they will deliver a play experience for the students. These will be games or activities they have researched and must have a purpose; eg physical play to develop gross motor skills in children.
• Year 10 will depart from Gymea Technology High School on Thursday 3rd and Tues 8th April at 1:30 PM and dismissed from the Primary School Venue at 3pm. Students can return to GTHS with Teacher is they like after 3pm.
• Travel will be by Walking.

• Full School Uniform is to be worn to this excursion. Students are representing their school on this activity.
