Yrs 7-12 – 2025 Zone Swimming Carnival

Excursion Information

•   Students who qualified for the GTHS swim team will be going on an excursion to Sutherland Leisure Centre on Monday 3 March 2025. This activity has been planned for students to represent the school against other schools within the Sutherland Zone to gain section for the Sydney East Swimming Carnival.

•   The cost of the excursion is $13.40 per student which is to be paid to the administration office by Thursday 27th  February.

•   Students are to meet GTHS Staff members inside the pool, by the starting blocks of the outside pool at 8:40am on Monday 3 March. Students who have permission can leave the carnival once they have completed all their events or at the completion of the carnival at approximately  2:30 PM.

•   Students are to enter the pool via the side access gate located opposite the Sutherland PCYC.

•   Travel will be by Own Travel Arrangements .

•   Accompanying staff are: R.Ellis, N.Breen, C.Williams

•   Sport Uniform is to be worn to this excursion. Students are to wear black swim caps during races, the school will provide plain caps but if your child has their own black cap they may bring and wear their own.

•   The excursion will involve the following water or swimming activities: Competitive Swimming Events. These activities will take place at Sutherland Leisure Centre. The school will provide the following flotation devices to students who may require assistance in the water: Students attending acknowledge They are competent Swimmers.

•   Please note: All events except for the 50m Freestyle are competed over 100m in line with competition at the Sydney East Championships i.e. Backstoke, Breaststroke & Butterfly is 100m.
