Preparing for Year 7 2027
Head Start to High School is Gymea Technology High School’s tailored transition program, designed to support students as they take the exciting step into high school.
This program has consistently empowered students to feel more confident and better prepared emotionally, socially, and academically, before they officially begin Year 7. It also fosters a strong sense of belonging and pride, helping students and their families feel connected from the very beginning of their journey with us.
We are genuinely excited to welcome our new Year 7 students and their families through the Head Start to High School program. We look forward to working in partnership as we embark on this important new chapter in your child’s educational journey.

| HSIE | History Mystery: Step into the past and ignite your curiosity! Investigate clues, analyse evidence, and uncover the secrets behind fascinating historical events in this exciting, inquiry-based learning adventure. |
| TAS | Taste Devine Challenge. Put your palate to the test in a thrilling soda tasting challenge. Identify unique flavors, guess secret ingredients, and discover what makes each blend truly special. |
| Visual Arts | Make waves with your Imagination. Unleash your inner artist by exploring line drawing techniques and transforming simple strokes into an exciting underwater world. No experience needed, just curiosity and creativity. |
| Music | Kickstart your musical journey. In this exciting hands-on workshop, students will learn a popular guitar tune while building skills in sheet music reading, active listening, and musical confidence. |
| Technology | Technology Centric. Experience an exciting, hands-on robotics adventure! Design and build your own robot catapult using the Artec system, then create a custom 2D game with the beginner-friendly GDevelop platform. |
