Excursion Information
• Congratulations! Your son/daughter has been selected in the GTHS Cross Country Team to run at the Sutherland Zone Cross Country Carnival at Miranda Park, The Boulevarde, Miranda NSW 2228 on Friday 1 May 2026.
• This excursion has been planned to provide students with the opportunity to represent GTHS and try to qualify for the Sutherland Zone Team to run at the Sydney East Carnival.
• Travel will be by Walking or own transport.
• The GTHS Cross Country Team will depart from Gymea Technology High School on Friday 1 May 2026 at 8:10 AM (arrive at school by 8:00 AM) and return to Gymea Technology High School by 3:00 PM on Friday 1 May 2026. Students who are making their own way to the venue need this indicated on the permission slip and need to arrive at Miranda Park no later than 8:20am.
• If you wish to allow your child to leave early (after they finish their event), a signed note must be provided to the teacher on the day of the carnival.
• The cost of this activity will be $6 per student (Zone entry fee).

• Sport Uniform is to be worn to this excursion. Students will be provided with a GTHS singlet to run in upon arrival at the venue. Students must ensure they get their name marked off with the teacher upon arrival at the venue AND before departing.
