Yrs 7-12 – Athletics Carnival 2026

Excursion Information

•   Our school Athletics Carnival will be held at The Ridge Athletics Track on Friday 20 March 2026.

•   Participation: The Athletics Carnival is a whole school event. All students are expected to attend.  Attendance and participation at all major carnivals enables your child to have the opportunity to participate in Zone and Regional Athletics and represent the school in other school activities. 

•   Cost and Travel: Travel to and from the carnival can be with a parent, or alternatively, by bus organised by the school Please indicate on the permission note payment Option A or Option B for your child. Students are not permitted to ride their bike or e-bike to this activity.

Option A: No cost for entry to the Athletics Track. Your child will travel to and from the carnival with a parent.

Option B: Cost is $15.00 for bus travel. Your child will travel to and from the carnival by school organised buses. They must be at school by 8:00 am and will return to Gymea at approximately 2:30 pm.

•   Payments need to be made at the office by Friday 13 March.  

•   All students and teachers will be attending the Athletics Carnival.

•   Uniform and Sun Protection: Sport Uniform is to be worn to this activity. Students should have a hat and sunscreen as there is limited shade available.

•   Food: Students are advised to bring their own lunch.  Students may wish to bring some money for the food stall.
