Year 12 – Sydney Jewish Museum Source Analysis Workshop

Excursion Information

•   Year 12 will be going on an excursion to Sydney Jewish Museum on Wednesday 29 October 2025.

•   This excursion has been planned to supplement the following work being done in the classroom: Students will take part in a content lecture focusing on Power and Authority across multiple syllabus dot-points. Additionally, students will have the chance to hone their source analysis skills through a workshop with numerous opportunities for handling and analysing primary source artefacts, as well as key secondary sources connecting to the unit of study. Students will also undergo a tour of the Sydney Jewish Museum. 

•   The cost of the excursion is $23.50 per student which is to be paid to the administration office by Wednesday 15  October.

•   Year 12 will depart from Gymea Train Station l on Wednesday 29 October  at 8:15 AM and return to Gymea Train Station at 3:00 PM on Wednesday 29 October.

•   Travel will be by Walking and Train. 

•   School Uniform is to be worn to this excursion. Due to limited storage space, the museum has asked for students to bring a small tote bag only. No school backpacks are permitted inside the museum. 

•  Students will be dismissed at Gymea Train Station however if a student is required to be dismissed from the venue or get off at a different station on the return journey, they must bring a signed permission note and hand it in to their teacher the morning of the excursion.
