At Gymea Technology High School, our High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) program provides an enriched and challenging academic pathway with a strong focus on STEM. Designed to extend and support high-achieving students, the program fosters collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity—building a strong foundation for excellent HSC results and aspirational university and career pathways.
A distinctive feature of the program is its differentiated approach to Technology, Mathematics, and Science in Years 7 and 8. Students engage in hands-on, innovative, and supportive learning experiences that spark curiosity and deepen understanding across these key subject areas.
As they progress, passionate and capable learners have the opportunity to accelerate their studies by beginning HSC Technology courses in Years 9 and 10. This early start not only builds advanced skills in technology but also provides valuable experience in navigating the academic demands of the HSC journey.
Through this integrated academic and STEM-focused stream, students are empowered to explore their full potential, both during high school and in their future studies and careers.
