Year 10 – Ranger Jamie Fieldwork Excursion

Excursion Information

•   Year 10 will be going on an excursion to Cronulla Beach on Friday 4 April 2025.

•   This excursion has been planned to supplement the following work being done in the classroom: Students are studying Environmental Change and Management in Year 10 Geography. As part of their syllabus, it is mandatory for students to undertake field work. This excursion will allow students to use an array of geographical tools to complete activities on this interactive outdoor adventure.

•   Students will travel to Cronulla Beach via train and on foot. We will depart from Gymea Technology High School at 8:40 am, walk to Gymea Train Station, take the train to Cronulla Station, and then walk to the beach. Students must have a valid Opal Card with at least $10 loaded onto it for the train journey.

•   Year 10 will depart from Gymea Technology High School on Friday 4 April  at  Period 1 and return to Gymea Technology High School at  Period 6 on Friday 4 April.

•   Students are required to wear sports uniform for the excursion. Please ensure they bring a pen, water bottle, hat, sunscreen, and an umbrella to be prepared for any weather conditions.
