Excursion Information
Our Whole School Swimming Carnival will be held at Caringbah Leisure Centre on Friday 14 February 2025. Our entire teaching staff will be attending the carnival.
Participation: The swimming carnival is a whole school event. All students are expected to attend. Attendance and participation at all major carnivals enables your child to have opportunity to participate in zone and regional carnivals as well as other representative activities.
Supervised Swim Test:This is a NSW mandatory requirement for all students who participate in water-based activities on school camps and other excursions. The swim test takes place prior to the start of carnival events for Year 7. Please advise your child to come prepared to swim.
Cost and Travel: Travel to and from the swimming carnival will be by own transport, or alternatively, by bus organised by the school. Please indicate on the permission note Option A or Option B for your child.
Option A – Cost is $9.00 per student for pool entry only. Your child will travel to and from the carnival themselves.
Option B – Cost is $16.00 for pool entry and bus. Your child will travel to and from the carnival by school organised buses.
Payments need to be made to the administration office by Wednesday 12 February 2025.
Buses will depart from the school at 8:00 am and return to the school at 2:30 pm.
Sport Uniform is to be worn. Students are to bring a hat, sunscreen, towel and lunch. Food can be purchased at the pool. Please note that all purchases are cashless.
The carnival will involve the following swimming activities: Structured Swimming Carnival competition and novelty events. These activities will take place at Caringbah Leisure Centre. The school will provide PFD for students who need it.
